Athletic Director

Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH is seeking a part time Athletic Director for the 2025-2026 school year. Applicants should be familiar with player development, best practices in coaching, interscholastic athletics and Catholic education. 

 Candidates must be willing to lead, coordinate, and implement athletic programming in conformity with the school’s mission. The Athletic Director is responsible for recruiting and hiring coaches, and works collaboratively with the school leadership team to deliver high quality formative experiences in athletics outside of the traditional school day. Current programs include soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, for all students (boys and girls) from ages 4 to high school. It is a unique opportunity to build from within and create lasting relationships with parents, coaches, teachers, and student-athletes.

Elementary Teacher

Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH is seeking a full time elementary teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Applicants should be familiar with classical curriculum and pedagogical methods and have a passion for Catholic education.  All full time teachers must be practicing Catholics and be willing to profess an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. 

 Candidates should have the desire to share their faith through example and teaching, and the ability to see the potential in all students. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are necessary. Teaching core subjects (religion, language arts, math, history, and science) is required. A familiarity with Latin is preferred. The candidate should also be willing to work collegially with faculty members and school leadership to explore effective and creative methods of instruction, assessment, and student support.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and bring a commitment to high academic standards and an ability to build a strong rapport with students.  Teaching experience is preferred.

Paraeducator – Resource Teacher

Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH is seeking a full or part time paraeducator for the 2025-2026 school year. The paraeducator will perform tasks related to the instruction and supervision of students, perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel, and other related duties.

Catechist for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program

Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time Level 1 catechist for our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. This program serves students in grades PreK - Grade 1 (Level 1) currently, with the intention of expanding to include Levels 2 and 3 in the future.

Candidates should be practicing Catholics and possess a familiarity with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd pedagogy (Level 1 training will be available this summer). A desire to share their faith through example and teaching, and the ability to see the potential in all students are a must. Physical Education Teacher

Mount Royal Academy  in Sunapee, NH is in need of a part-time Physical Education instructor for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position requires working with students from 1st - 12th grades employing movement, games, and other physical fitness techniques to help our students grow in health, knowledge of sport, motor skills, as well as moral character.  

We believe that since we are complex beings made of body, mind, and soul it is essential to nurture bodily health as well as academic and spiritual well-being. It is essential that the candidate shares this vision. A passion for the content area and love of children are a must. Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Theater Director

Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our Theater Director, for our elementary, junior high, and high school  students for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a part time position. 

The theater director is responsible for directing and producing two shows per year, 1 fall, 1 spring, communicating with students and parents about rehearsals and performance details, coordinating with our performance space (The Newport Opera House), creating, maintaining, and adhering to a budget, overseeing proper organization and storage of equipment. 

The ideal candidate has the ability to see the potential in all students and to build a strong rapport with them. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are necessary. Teaching experience and basic understanding of liturgical music is preferred.
