Unless you believe, you will not understand. - St. Augustine
Reflections on Catholic Education
I remember growing up hearing my father telling me that a good education is necessary to do well in this world. In part he was correct, but he was missing the most desirable element, a Catholic education. For my family, bringing our faith into the picture was the difference between just going to school and actually receiving an education. My children have a sense of identity and purpose, where they have not only learned their faith but actually practice it!
I feel very blessed to be not only a parent at Mount Royal, but a teacher as well. Everyday is a chance to provide connections between faith and subject matter. Bringing my students to Christ, watching them grow in their love of learning and sending them off into the world as good stewards of their faith, are truly why I know that a Catholic education, and in particular one received at Mount Royal Academy, is the best education. - Mary Bellino
Dr. Bellino received her PhD in Particle Physics from Tufts University in 1994. Prior to moving to NH in 2003, she had worked in both industry and for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Once settled, she began teaching at both Mount Royal and Colby-Sawyer College. Currently, Dr. Bellino teaches at River Valley Community College, Colby-Sawyer College and Mount Royal Academy.
As a parishioner of St. Theresa’s in Henniker, Dr. Bellino is also active with the Youth Ministry program and in years past had taught second grade catechesis. She resides in Bradford, NH with her husband and four of her five children.
