November 18th marks what has traditionally been one of our biggest fundraisers, the Walk-A-Thon! It is a great day for the kids to physically participate in raising funds for our school. All funds raised will support special academic programs, including the additional personnel hired to provide remedial and enrichment instruction. A long-hoped for goal of the school was to increase our staff size to enhance our academic programming with more even more individualized services and our school reopening plan even necessitated that we make that goal come to fruition this school year.
Families can participate in two ways:
- Prior to the event, students will receive an event t-shirt, which they will wear in lieu of their gym shirt. Families may seek sponsorship for the t-shirt, and in return will have their name on the back of the shirt.
- Each student is also asked to reach out to friends and family to pledge sponsorship of the student walking. All funds raised will go directly towards family fundraising.
The Walk-A-Thon will look a little different this year and we are encouraging contactless fundraising by sharing this link with friends and family.
The t-shirt sponsor will be collected during drop off and dismissal November 2-3.
We will accept physical checks along with the pledge form during drop off and dismissal November 16-18. All families soliciting donations should submit a pledge form with whatever donations they anticipate coming to the school, either online or by check. Please package the checks and pledge form into one envelope.
